What do we know about manual welding?

  • June 28, 2018

As you know, electric welding (electrical welding), works on the principle of an electric arc discharge between the conductive electrode made of metal and welded steel details. The heat released during the contact of the welded surface with the column (plasma) of the arc is melts the main metal of the welded parts and steel from which the electrode is made. A weld is formed from this melt. You can weld the parts with ordinary wire, however, when melting into the seam metal, oxygen enters, oxidizing it, and nitrogen that forms nitrides. With these unnecessary additives, the welds become fragile and does not hold the load at all. Therefore, in order to protect the seam from oxygles and nitrides, the T-620 T-590 welding electrodes are used, the coating of which forms gas and seam protection, which protects the weld metal from the effects of atmospheric air. This coating of electrodes has in its composition special alloying additives that improve the strength indicators of the seams.

Welding electrodes supply electric current to the welding site. They are of two types:

1. Steel electrodes – use their own metal to form a weld. Based on the properties of the steel and sizes of the parts welded, the electrodes of thin diameters or electrodes of thick diameters are selected.

2. Non -fluid – bring the current to the place of welding, but they themselves do not melt. The core of such electrodes is made of tungsten. Tungsten electrodes are used for industrial welding stainless steel, non -ferrous metals and ferroalloys.

The choice of welding equipment of the domestic in the modern construction market is huge. Electric arc welding among carbon dioxide (camps), welding machines for manual welding welding transformers, everyone can choose a tool for their own pocket.

For home needs, the best choice is a portable welding transformer. These are the most common and relatively cheap devices used for electric welding. Typically, such devices have small sizes and weight – you can do welding without removing the device from the shoulder. They work on the principle of transformation and regulation of current power. The transformer consists of a core with two windings – primary and secondary. On some models they are fixed motionless. To regulate the current strength in such devices, it is necessary to manually transfer the wire from the terminas of one winding to another. Typically, such devices actively sell such “welding” on the flea market. Factory welding transformers have a mobile secondary winding. With an increase or decrease in the distance between the windings, the current strength also changes.

If you need that welded seams were as even and invisible as possible, for example, in bodywork, you can purchase camps (welding semiautomatic device). Having the same transformer at the base, but welding occurs not by ordinary electrodes, but by a special welded wire, while simultaneously supplied carbon dioxide to the welding zone. Campaign devices are usually used for welding sheet metal of a small thickness.

In the household, powerful units of 200-300 amperes do not need, with which the traffic jams at the entire quarter will be “flying out”. The home network simply cannot withstand such “monsters” without additional revision. Current in 140 – 200 amperes is enough for any homework.

Our company is based for specialized service of construction organizations in the selection of electrodes and welding wire for different types of work.

Our organization offers a wide range of materials for electric arc welding.

In the modern global welding electrodes, an excess of proposals from various manufacturers. By purchasing the products of our company, we guarantee that you will not doubt the high quality of electrodes for welding and welding wire.

Our experts specially tested the quality of products during these installation works.

We supply the products of well-known manufacturers of welding materials. From us you can buy covered electrodes along the stainless steel graphs and other materials for electric arc welding.

Consultants of our company will always advise our customers with what types of welding electrodes and welding wire to cook on different types of equipment for welding.

Different brands of electrodes and wires are used for manual electric arc welding of various metals and their alloys, metal surfaces for metal and other works. Some individual types of electrodes and welding wire allow you to easily cut alloys of different metals. In our warehouse in Moscow, a wide range of electrodes for welding is constantly available.
