Researchers recently studied 288 main manufacturers of ceramic tiles, including 89 Italian factories, 70 Spanish factories and 33 factories in other EU countries and 15 factories from European states outside the EU, as well as 70 factories from Asia and 11 factories from different other points of the world ( Egypt, Mexico, Tunisia, Argentina and Venezuela). They found out because ceramic tiles from Spain and Italy are in demand.

Moreover, the prices of Italian tiles are commensurate with prices for any other types of tiles, and even some unpopular brands with low -quality products sometimes set prices higher than Italian manufacturers. The reason for the success of Italian tiles is that a lot of money is investing in it. Investments in the ceramic industry of Italy are only growing, and due to this, technologies, equipment and designs are developing. The efficiency of the production of ceramic tiles in Italy is also growing, because the factory employees arrange the most convenient working conditions (the salary of factories for the production of tiles in Italy is approximately 3% higher than in Spain and 1% higher than in average in Europe). As a result of investments in factories and laboratories, the Italian product turns out to be the highest quality, which increases the demand for it and its export, which leads to new investments.
Spanish ceramic tiles are also popular and in demand. Its sales volumes are also increasing. Spanish tiles are in demand because it is cheaper than Italian (due to lower investments and lower levels of salaries in factories), but in quality, most Spanish factories are still ahead of many other factories in the world. For example, due to the low cost of labor, Asian manufacturers have a good base to increase the production of cheap tiles, but Asian tiles, as a rule, belongs to the segment of a low-quality product.
A good factor for different brands (not even Italian or Spanish) is the presence of modern equipment from Italy at the factory, because, as a rule, it is investment in this equipment in Italy that make Italian tiles better than others (this is one of the main factors).
