For the first time, the world saw Ford Raptor back in 2008, at the SEMA Automobile Exhibition in Las Vegas. After that, this car perfectly showed itself on Baja 1000 races and only after appeared on sale in North America at the end of summer 2009. From the very beginning, the car gained great popularity among Ford lovers. Orders exceeded more than 3000 thousand copies.
Appearance
The first thing that catches the eye is his color. Fiery orange metallic looks delightful. In the front of the car, namely on the hood, there are air intakes made of black plastic. The company’s logo is also quite beautiful, which is made of the same plastic located on the false radiator grille. It is worth noting that in the appearance of this model there are no excessive chrome details, as happened earlier.
Interior
First of all, it is noticed that the seats are located from the ground at an altitude of about a meter. The coloring of the central console is made in the same color as the car body. Also, when upholting doors, inserts of the same color were used. Due to the large sizes and the overview of the windows, the driver can perfectly feel the dimensions of the whole car. The dimensions of the mirrors meet the size of the car, and I have the folk name “burdocks”.
The designers made sure that there were enough space both on the front and rear seats of the car. Thanks to the installed electronic control, the possibility of adjustment became possible: front seats, mirrors, rear glasses and even a pedal unit.
Engine and transmission
The heart of pickup has become 5.4 liter engine, with a power of 310 horsepower. Up to a hundred such a monster accelerates in just 8.7 seconds, and the maximum speed is 240 km per hour. But, those who want to purchase such a car should not forget that with such an engine volume and so larger, it consumes 18 liters of fuel per hundred kilometers, which is quite a few.
The latest updated Ford Raptor model was Ford SVT Raptor with 6.A 2 liter engine outstanding 500 horsepower and a six -speed gearbox. In this version, in addition to the reinforced engine, modernized belts are installed increasing car cross -country ability. Only 50 copies were released for such a modification.

Summing up, we can say that such a car as they say for an amateur. But, it is worth noting that both on the outside and in nutria there is nothing superfluous, as often happens with many pickups.
